Keel's Carbon Node East data center in Nesquehoning could begin construction in 2027

Keel Infrastructure's planned Carbon Node East data center in Nesquehoning, PA is expected to begin construction in 2027, pending DEP approvals. The project is expected to employ about 400 construction workers, create about 350 permanent jobs, and provide $1 million to the Panther Valley School District over three years.

Providing all DEP approvals are received, work on a sprawling data center at the base of the Broad Mountain in Nesquehoning, next to the existing co-gen plant, is expected to begin sometime in 2027. Construction is expected to take up to 20 months.
